HARDSHIP – 22
April 2006
"Love
will find a way". If He doesn't,
Is not
intense enough, is but a whim,
A shadow, a
mistake, a sham, a dream,
A dead-end,
alas, something we mustn't
Follow for
long, except when the lust
Sets us
together, man and wife,
And then
enjails the both of us for life,
In that folly
law pretends to be just.
However, if
you really for me cared,
You'd curtail
your absences; and shared
Some of your
scarce, precious time with me.
It could
be hard, but if you felt the urge,
All else you
would, with no regard, purge,
Offset by pleasure, as hard as it might be.
