INDECISIVE SONG XIV
Always accept your mistakes like
friends
who came in to stay the closest
to you.
Their wish for pleasant
remembering stands
and never for punishment mete out
anew.
Rather they want to prevent
the beggars,
the new mistakes bearing masked
faces,
from swindling you with hidden
daggers
and leading you astray to dismal
places.
Now trust past mistakes and
experiences,
that instructed into your
apprenticeship
and helped as well to
character-building.
But never put your faith in those
appearances
that come to you in false
stewardship
so as to allure and dominate
your being.
