MARY JANE
for that's what i am now -- a junk-head
for verse --- soon as a poem has ended
another has started, all my feelings blended
into fiery words of encompassing spread.
for that's what i'm now -- i endorphin
while poems roll out, ceaselessly bleeding.
this vice of mine, to my squirting leading,
is like a poison, a venom, a toxin.
and yet... i had this vicarious love
curbed before, taken up full control,
instead of it controlling me up to accrue
day after day its unstoppable move.
and still i wish the flow to forestall,
for me a junkie end up, but just for You.
Don’t look it up in the
dictionary... mary jane is slang for 'marijuana' and poems are my grass.
bill.
