What are women's words, but a ruse?

They never tell the truth, not even when

They speak to themselves, and then

Pretend justify their giving, their refuse.

 

What are women's words, but a wily?

A trap for themselves, momentary,

A-fleeting reasoning, commentary

On what just happened, all the while

 

They acted first, taken by impuls

For reasons other than their brains abide

And then tried to explain the where, the why

 

Their hearts beat to a sudden pulse,

So harshly prudence was set aside

And thus love was killed, no more to come by.
